Subject: **VOTE** September 19, 20, 21 to Decide If You Get a Union
To:

Dear PhD Students:

My July communication to you about the upcoming United Autoworkers union election shared important information about what it could mean to have a union here on campus. Now that the election is almost here, you will need to decide if you want the United Autoworkers to represent you. Learn more about graduate unionization and the process on our graduate union information webpage and then make sure you VOTE!

A union is elected for everyone by a majority of those who vote. If only 100 show up to vote, 51 in favor of a union will decide for you and thousands of other students in the bargaining unit. This is your chance to take part in the voting process and help decide if you will have a union or not.

Voting is by secret ballot and takes less than 5 minutes. Take part in the process and VOTE!!

When:  Tuesday, September 19th – Thursday, September 21st

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where:  Industrial Place Tent on Robinson Quad in front of Hurtig Hall, Boston campus

If you have further questions, please email gradunioninfo@northeastern.edu.

Regards,
David Madigan, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
