Fellow Workers,
Your GENU bargaining committee met again today with Northeastern Administration as we fight for our first Collective Bargaining Agreement. We introduced proposals addressing important issues relating to paid holidays with religious and cultural protections, to protections against automation and outsourcing of our work that are looming threats in our industry.
We were met with nothing but disrespect and delay tactics meant to slow down the bargaining process. The administration re-introduced their impotent package proposal, demonstrating little effort to engage with the proposals we’ve passed today or thus far.
We will not take the bait. We demand respect!
📧 Please reach out if you have any questions on our understanding of their comprehensive package proposal.
✒ We need your help. If you haven’t filled out our Bargaining Survey yet, click here. Respond to this email to join us on Slack and stay tuned for the big things to come.
Expect a huge bargaining update from the committee on Monday (3/18) with more details and new important information.
In Solidarity,
GENU-UAW Bargaining Committee
