In the past few weeks, several graduate student workers across departments have been told a “pandemic-era policy” has changed and that they must graduate by the end of Spring 2024 or have their funding revoked and/or leave Northeastern.
Have you – or someone in your department – been:
- Told a “pandemic-era policy” around program duration has been changed?
- Suddenly put on academic probation?
- Told you must meet impossible deadlines to stay in your program?
- Told you may lose your funding if you do not meet these deadlines?
- Pushed out, or felt you are being pushed out of your department?

The university should NOT make changes to graduate student working conditions or policies during bargaining.
