Hope the end of the semester went well for you and this summer offers some opportunities for relaxation! This past spring semester has been very eventful for our union, and we wanted to update you on some events happening, the current plan for our campaign to certify our union, and opportunities to get more involved.
Help design the first ever GENU-UAW Zines!
This Saturday, organizers from all over campus are getting together to help design and build our first ever GENU-UAW Zines to distribute to our members! If you are interested in helping, we’re meeting in Cambridge on Saturday from 2-4 PM. Please RSVP any time before you show up, as vaccination proof is required by the venue. You can also attend remotely!

With June and the celebration of Pride Month, we wanted to share information about local events for you to come out and support the LGBTQIA+ members of our community! Here are actions and events happening all month:

A Review on Where the Campaign for our Union Election Stands
After we filed for our union election in February, the Northeastern admins have done everything they can to delay our vote, and discourage us from voting for our union. They have even resorted to using campus police to threaten and intimidate our grad worker organizers! But we remain undeterred, continuing our organizing as we get ready for a potential election in the fall semester. Because the timelines for the NLRB are open-ended, we do not know when an election will happen, but one can be scheduled anytime, if the admins were to cease delays and agree to bargain an election agreement.
